Misc.  Fish Photos  pg 2

Here is a photo that was sent to me, of a "Siamese Pike". Is this bizarre or what ? This catch was "supposedly" verified by the ND State Fisheries Dept, but I'm not so sure........ I think the fish on the right could simply have it's gill flared open, while the smaller, closed mouth fish on the left could have its head tucked underneath......... hmmmm.

This is Rob Vanstone with a scary looking 14.9 lb Tigerfish which he caught from the Zabesi River in Africa, while fishing with live bait. I bet you don't lip those, huh Rob ?  :-)
By the way, Rob also catches a bunch of huge African Largemouth bass !

This is my buddy Fred McClintock, with one of the most beautiful Brown Trout I have ever seen !  A trophy catch in every sense of the word !

A very rare catch ! I caught this 3.9 lb Smallmouth bass at Clear Lk. Ca. !  To give you an idea of how rare this is, there are professional guides and lifelong angling locals who have never caught a Smallmouth from these waters. It goes to show that fishing is fishing, and you just never know what that next cast will bring !
Actually, two of the countries leading fisheries biologist don't believe this fish was a "true" Smallmouth, but possibly a hybrid. Maybe a Smallmouth X Spotted bass ? An extremely unusual catch in any case.

This is Cody Pierce (IGFA Junior World Record holder for Largemouth bass) with yet another world record ! This is the Junior World Record Yelloweye Rockfish which went 22.00 lbs !
Cody caught the giant which was estimated to be 80 to 100 years old, on a trip to Alaska with Babe Winkelman and his filming crew.
Congrats on another outstanding catch buddy !

This is Bryan Shishido with the new world record spotted bass of 10.48 lbs ! This incredible fish was caught during a tournament on Pine Flat Res. Ca.
Congratulations Bryan on an amazing record catch !

This is a little largemouth that I caught up at Sugarpine Res. The picture was taken by my buddy, with a cheap, disposable, waterproof camera. Really tricky though, because you can't see  what your aiming at. If you take a whole roll, you might get a good picture or two. By the way, that's not 100 lb test, it's just air following the line.

Here is another underwater shot taken with the method used above. The Smallie on the top left is fighting hard on my ultra-light rod. The Largemouth below slammed the Smallie right before and after I took this photo ! The 1/8 ounce worm weight is visable in the top left corner.

This is 7 year old Nick, with an awesome 8 lb trophy bass ! Hey Nick, it took me 25 years to get one this big ! Good job, keep it up !

Another happy client ! This gorgeous Brown Trout was caught on a trip guided by Fred McClintock, and was one of 50 this day !

Note:  This page is open for the submission of misc. photos.  Some pics I'd like to see might include:

An 8 lb. Small mouth !
A 3 lb. Bluegill !
A true albino largemouth !
A 4 lb Crappie !
Or does anyone have a good pic of a big, beautiful koi (colored carp) which they caught on a rod and reel ?

Come on ya'll, just a good
pic of anything way cool !
