Mike does it again, in the daytime, on an artificial. No matter what your throwing at them, I think the most important thing is to have confidence in it. And when your sticking pigs like this, confidence is not too hard to come by.

Yours truly, with a trophy Clear Lk. bass, which was caught on an offshore rockpile, with a live dad. This fish had been tagged by the Ca. DFG in April of 95, when she weighed 4.99 lbs. So in only four years and four months she grown 6 lbs and 7 oz, or about a pound and a half a year. The Ca. DFG said this was very good growth, but not unheard of. She hit a live dad.

This is the only "ten plus" that I ever caught after dark and also the only one that did not have a big belly on her. She was caught on a live dad at 9 pm.

This is Mitch Looper, with a couple of the most beautiful northern strain monsters I have ever seen. The fish on your left went 10 lb 13 oz ! Mitch consistently catches trophy northern bass, almost always on a jig, at night. Mitch lives in northern Arkansas and doesn't have any Florida bass closer to him than a 6 hr. drive. So instead, he catches northerns which are bigger than most guys Florida bass! Mitch expects to break the Ar. record of just over 16 lbs with a northern strain bass. I believe if anyone can do it, Mitch can. Good luck Mitch. Beautiful Monsters ?

Mitch gets some big Florida bass too. Here's a fish
which certainly made his 12 hr. round trip worth it.

Heres Mike Sutherland with the Lafayette Res. record bass. A 14 lb 6 oz monster! He caught it in the daytime on a white spinnerbait. Again, if a technique or lure works for you, don't listen to me, just do it! And expect me to be bugging you for advice.

Heres Dee, with his biggest bass to date, a 13 lb 2 oz monster! At last count, Dee had caught 24 bass over 8 lbs in the last year! Nearly all of them on soft plastics at night. However, he caught his biggest fish on a live dad, during the day. Dee says that he would have caught it on plastic, had he been throwing it at the time, and knowing Dee, he probably would have.......but the fact remains, he got his biggest bass on the real thing in broad daylight.

Here's another Clear Lake monster caught by Rick Creamer, just after dark on Sept. 2, 1998. This hog hit a Terminator spinnerbait with a soft plastic trailer, which Rick was bouncing off the rocks, on a submerged rockpile. What a fish!
