Trophy Bass Photos  pg. 29

This is Henry Shorr with a beautiful 13 lb 4 oz lake record bass, for Spring Valley Lake. This hog bit a 10" Power Worm, fished in 2 to 3 ft of water. Awesome fish !

Here Henry holds an 11 lb 6 oz hog which he caught at Lake Vail on a live waterdog (back when they were legal).
During the 5 week period in which Henry caught this fish, he also caught 9 more trophy bass, plus his partners caught 2 more !

Here's Henry with an 11 lb 8 oz bass that he caught at Puddingstone Lake, on a Mission Swimfish. He was fishing a 6 ft deep hump, next to deep water, on a falling barometer. In a matter of 3 1/2 hours, Henry caught 13 bass, with none less than 5 lbs ! What an awesome trip !

Here is Henry again with an 11 lb trophy bass, which he caught at Spring Valley Lake, on a black 10" Powerworm.

This is Seth with a very nice double digit fish that he caught from Val Vista Lk. Arizona.

This is my buddy Mark Rogers with a 13.0 lb trophy bass which he caught at Lk. Perris while throwing the Stocker trout lure. Awesome !

This is Yuji with his first double digit bass, a 12 lb 11 ounce beauty which he caught while fishing from his float tube on Coyote Res !
Hey Yuji, do you see how this trophy bass thing can be addicting ? :-)
Good job ! Continued success to you !

...and another shot of Yuji's hog (above) seconds before the release.
People who have not caught and released a big bass often ask me, "How can you just let it go" ? But as I always say, and I'm sure Yuji will attest, the release is probably 99% as cool as the catch itself !

This is Josh Declusion with his first double digit bass, a flawless hog which weighed 13.3 lbs and was caught at Rancho Seco on a Castaic trout lure.
Great job buddy ! Are you ready for another ? :-)

For another perspective of Josh' fish above, this is the same fish in a 54 qt ice box.
If you must keep the fish for a short period of time (Josh had to find a camera man) or for a certified weighing, always make sure you have a big icebox, which you can fill with water. Of course even so, you will want to release the fish ASAP.

Roscoe Dudley was fishing on Clear Lk. Ca, with pro guide Richard Pounds, when he caught this 10 lb 6 ounce hog ! Very nice !
