This is Jerry "Bucketmouth" Hecox with a huge trophy bass which pulled his calibrated scale down to 16.0 lbs !!! The monster was caught from Rancho Seco on a Yamamoto Hula Grub, and of course (as were all of the bass on the trophy pages) was released unharmed.
This is Bucketmouth's first bass over 10 lbs........ Go figure.
Continued success to you Jerry.

My latest trophy bass from Rancho Seco. This beauty weighed 10.6 lbs, and bit on a Castaic baby Bluegill. Nice fish, but I think the "0" and the "6" needed to be switched around like the fish above ! :-)

Here's my buddy Jim Whetstone with his first double digit bass, which he caught from Berryessa. This hog weighed in at 10 lbs 4 oz, and was caught on the most overlooked big bass bait on the planet...... a nightcrawler.
Congrats to ya' Jim,
Keep stickin' em' !

Another Rancho Seco Hog ! This big ol' girl weighed 13.4 lbs and is the first bass I have landed at Rancho on the Castaic trout. She bumped it lightly on two consecutive casts, but did not actually take it until I let it sit still, floating at the surface. A couple seconds later, one slurp, and it was gone. She was just determined to get her picture taken :-)

This Rancho Seco beauty bit a Castaic baby Bluegill and went 11.4 lbs. I would have never guessed she would go over 10 lbs when I sighted her in the water. In fact, had the day not started out so tough, I might have cruised right by her in search of a 10 plus ! Sure glad I stopped and fished for her :-)

This old momma hog went 12.4 lbs and was caught about 2 hours after the one above. She came as a total surprise, hammering my Castaic trout no more than 6 feet from the rod tip ! Not sure if she was hollow bellied because she was spawned out, or on an old age decline. A nice catch in any case.

This is Stephen Mras with a very nice 12.0 lb Lk. Perris bass which he caught while fishing a live crawdad on a rockpile. Good choice of bait for the circumstance.

This is Rick Tietz with a couple of nice Lk. Amador bass. The fish on the left went 10.4 lbs, and anchored a five fish limit of 39.2 lbs ! Sounds like fun to me !!!
