This is David McKenzie with an awesome trophy bass of 11 lb 2 oz, which he caught from New Melones Res. on a custom jig ! This bass is only about 1 lb away from the lake record, and is quite possibly a Northern strain fish !!! Good job buddy ! What a fish !

I caught this 11.2 lb'er at my home Lk. Berryessa, on the Castaic trout lure. I felt like I deserved it after her larger pal slammed my trout lure two days before, but did not hook up......... persistence pays :-)

......then I got this 14.1 lb hog the very next day at Rancho Seco Res. (my new personal best) on a Castaic baby Bluegill.......

.......but I wasn't finished :-) I caught this beautiful 12.6 lb'er about 2 hours after the one above ! Plus I hooked another fish of about 13 lbs also..... but it came unbuttoned :-(
What a day trophy bass day though !

After a tough day for my buddy Dee and myself on Coyote Res, we met Steve and Matt who promptly pulled an 11.2 and a 10.9 lb'er out of the livewell !
